So, the concert in AZ today was awesome! Annika, Payton and I all had a blast. We mimicked quite a few people's crazy dance moves while creating some of our own. Every performance was great! Kimbra, Mayer Hawthorne and Foster the People are a very talented bunch! The night will be very memorable.
Funniest quote of the evening,
"One song we will be performing for you tonight has absolutely nothing to do with love, because sometimes all you need is a little bit of sexy time."
-Mayer Hawthorne

I'm ready to GO! Road trip!
One week till I leave to AZ with my sister & cousin for the most amazing concert of the year! Well, maybe second to Metric in OCT... Kimbra & Mayer Hawthorne are the openers for Foster the People. To be honest, I am much more excited to see Kimbra perform than anyone else. Let's hope we get there early so we don't miss a moment!
Too bad Gotye isn't the main performance of the night... Foster the People is a band a bit too trendy for me.
Check out Kimbra and lead vocalist from Foster the People in the "Warrior" music video on youtube.

Metric @ The Greek
I could not be more excited to hear that Metric will be performing at the Greek this October 2012. I signed up on a fansite in order to find some pre-sale tickets! This year tickets are a little hard to find because of all the hype. Metric has contributed to many movie soundtracks the last couple of years and therefore are a more well known band than they were in my high School years. I sure hope they play "Black Sheep" at the show this october. Such an awesome song--and on a side note watch Scott Pilgrim, fun movie.
CAN'T wait!
Their new album Synthetica came out yesterday. A much better album than Fantasies in my opinion-- although Synthetica still doesn't trump the first three albums.

Grad PARTY! Invitation
My cousin Syd is graduation from High school and didn't want the same old boring announcement you order from the school so we mixed it up!
Business Finesse
Recently I finished my mother's business cards as well as my own cards. I know business cards are a little old fashioned but because my mother and I strive to maintain our word of mouth marketing strategy we decided business cards will do for now.

Oh BABY!
Created this lovely baby shower invitation for my good friend Jennie! It was very fun to combine a postcard, pink and grey, and a vintage baby carriage for a very simple yet festive invitation. The baby carriage I heat embossed in pink on the invitation after printing. It was a joy to help Jennie out with this project.

Kimbra Mania
Maybe it's just me but I've been hearing Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye ft. Kimbra on the radio a whole lot these days. I love the song but I really like Kimbra's music! It's not everyday you find a female artist who can write her own music, sing well, and play an instrument. It's pretty upbeat as well sorta jazzy, poppy etc. I can not wait till July when I get to see her in AZ with my sisters!

Craft Fair Spring 2012
My mother and I joined up and rented a space at this years craft fair at Calvary Downey high school. It was so fun to hang out and talk to old friends! My mother sold some succulents and tried to get the word out about her event planning business, Pepperlily events. I had been preparing for the event a few months before and had put together three collections of paper products: origami, Lego love, and some simple thank you cards. It was a blast and I hope to do it again!

Pretty pretty please, with a cherry on top!
The other day lovely Miss Krista of Kristakupcakery.blogspot.com called me and requested some invites. I was pleased to be able to help her! These baby shower invites are for a couple who has four boys and is now happily having a baby girl. Krista had some wording and an overall feel for what she wanted and this is what I came up with.

Finishing up
I had started this project for my two younger sisters' room some months ago and it's finally done!
It was a childhood dream to be able to draw and paint on the wall. Next I'm going to paint a few little origami cranes on their dark shades. Let's hope that doesn't take me quite as long to finish--considering they are going to be smaller than the first parent crane.

Twenty-five years Together
A recent project: Custom bolsa wood invitations for a renewing of the vows in Hawaii.
These surf inspired invites have a vintage feel by request of the bride. The addition of bolsa wood paper, while a little pricey, adds a nice texture to the overall project.
